I make a motion to have a spirit week held from monday october 15- friday october 19, so we can increase school pride before our girls volleyball team goes off to Costa Rica for AASCA and also because mrs. narbon gave me the idea because she did it at ISP and said it really raised school spirit. You also take like part of each day to do some special activity to increase school spirit like a mini-pep rally and stuff.
Would anyone like to second the motion?

Listen folks,
Everyone on the council must participate in the Wednesday food sales program not just one or two people..everyone needs to participate. if not, the school will not take us seriously..We need a Wednesday Food Sales committee established complete with chairman…someone to handle the PR, like posters and announcements…we need an accountant to keep track of sales and inventory costs and we need a roster of who sells at the table and when…think everything through….leave nothing to chance..put it all in writing and let’s put it in a binder that stays with the sales people at the table, in case any of the admin types have a question..we can show we have all our operating procedures down..I am happy to work with this committee..
remember, committee’s handle everything in council work..nothing is left to chance.
thanks,
S

I have another motion to support the girl’s volleyball team. We would like to host a free clothes day where the funds go to supporting their trip to AASCA. We would like this to occur on Friday October 5, 2007. It would be $1 for free clothes and free for those who choose to go in uniforms (prices can be changeable!)
Thank youuuu!

that sounds fine to me. you just need to get an activity sheet, add the details, get it signed by the sponsor, then signed by us… then ur good to go

do we still have a pizza sale tomorrow?
if so, we should make an announcement for it tomorrow in the morning…so people know and dont cross over to the other side before we have a chance to make some money.

Ladies and gentlemen,
We’ve had a breakdown in communication and we need to get back on track to fix it. The weekly pizza sale includes a deal that we have with the local pizza place..we agreed to buy 6 weeks of pizzas..no one checked with me yesterday to verify and no one checked again today to make sure that things went as planned. We must keep our agreements. It is up to council members to insure the sale happens every Thursday at lunchtime. Wednesday the pizza place must be contacted to verify the sale for Thurday. Shame on you for dropping the ball. What happens to our credibility here? Get with the program people! I want this fixed ASAP….our credibility with students and the community is on the line here..
